I decided we were running a little short on baby wipes, so I used the Everlast deal at Rite Aid to buy those instead of diapers. But the $5 overage can be used on anything you need!

Transaction 1:
2 Everlast Energy Supplements 19.99 BOGO
1 Huggies Refill 216 ct 7.99

Coupons:
5/25 Rite Aid
BOGO Everlast
.75/1 Huggies wipes

Subtotal:2.24
With tax: 2.48 on Rite Aid gift card

Transaction 2:

Obviously, had I bought something a little cheaper than the wipes, I would have had less OPP, but I needed them. I'm going to go back today to get more free/close to free stuff. Betweeen Everlast this week and Cover Girl next week, Rite Aid is going to be seeing a lot of me!

Mission: Everlast Deal for Free Diapers?

We've had a visiting relative so I haven't been able to do any deals for the past few days. However, here are a few of the things I've done to work towards more free diapers.

  • Requested Pull-Ups sample here
  • Completed Pine Cone Research survey and earned $3 in Pay Pal cash.
  • Used the Pine Cone earnings to buy 20 BOGO Cover Girl coupons to use in Rite Aid deal next week.
  • When our visiting relative called from Toys R Us to find out what my kids would like, I said, "diapers!" She came through!! It never hurts to ask, right? My kids have plenty of toys and clothes, but diapers we can always use!
Now, I found a deal on the We Use Coupons Rite Aid forum that I'm going to look into tomorrow. Everlast supplements are supposedly on sale for BOGO but I don't believe that all Rite Aids carry these supplements. I think it's only the Rite Aids with GNC products, and you can find out at riteaid.com if your store does or not. Anyway, there's a BOGO Everlast pdf here. That means free supplements. But I don't care about the supplements, I want free diapers! So here's the deal:

Buy 2 Everlast supplements 19.99 BOGO
Rite Aid Tugaboos Diapers 7.99

Coupons:
5/25
BOGO Everlast
Total: 2.99 plus tax
Then submit for 2.00 SCR on Tugaboos

There's also a 3/15 wellness coupon that I've heard some people have been able to use along with the 5/20 VV. If you are able to use it, then it's a money maker. Remember to bring the Rite Aid coupon policy with you because I've had to take it out and read it to a manager in order to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale. I'm going to try this deal tomorrow, and I'll report back!

Mission: Using Cover Girl to Get Free Diapers!

Next week at Rite Aid, Cover Girl will be Buy One Get One Free. If you have any BOGO Cover Girl coupons, you can buy 2 and get them both free. If you don't have any Cover Girl coupons, buy them now on ebay or get them from another coupon source. Here's the deal I'm planning to do to get almost free Huggies:

Buy 2 Cover Girl products $10+ each
Buy 1 Huggies jumbo pack 8.99
Use 5/25 Rite Aid
Use 3/1 Huggies
Total: $.99 plus tax

I will probably then see if I can make any money off the Cover Girl either on ebay or at a yard sale. This would make the diapers totally free!

Mission: Thank You Nature's Bounty!!

After Walgreens let me down and never restocked the Vitamin D, I decided to try CVS. Depending on the cashier at CVS, I am sometimes given a hard time with the Nature's Bounty deal. But my FAVORITE cashier was working on Saturday, so everything went fine. I'm still fairly new to doing these deals, and I can feel my blood pressure start to rise when I'm waiting on line. Does this anxiety go away eventually? Or is just part of the thrill of extreme couponing!?!

Transaction 1:
Johnson and Johnson Nursing Pads - unmarked sale, I guess 3.99
Halle Berry Travel Size Perfume 4.99
Huggies Natural Care 40 ct. 2.99
2 Nature's Bounty Zinc 5.99 (BOGO)
2 Nature's Bounty Vitamin D 4.99 (BOGO)

Coupons:
4 5/1 Nature's Bounty
2/1 Huggies Wipes from the red coupon printer
.75/1 Huggies wipes

Total with tax: 1.16 on a gift card
Received 5ECB for Halle perfume - MONEYMAKER

Transaction 2:
2 Wet Ones 1.99 each
U by Kotex 4.99
1 Soy Joy clearanced .64 (my son actually likes these!)
Stamps 8.80
Purina Cat Chow 6.49
4 Nature's Bounty Vitamin D 4.99 each
2 Nature's Bounty Lysine 8.69 (thought my mom uses this kind of vitamin but I was mistake. I will try to go back and exchange for the ones she does use. Hopefully they are about the same price or cheaper.)

Coupons:
6 5/1 Nature's Bounty
1/1 CVS Kotex
1/1 Manu Kotex
5/40 from the red coupon printer
2 EBC
4.49 ECB

Total: 1.18 including tax on gift card
Received 1 ECB for Kotex - Not a Moneymaker but I did get free cat food and a bunch of other things we needed. I could have also gotten free diapers, but there were no great deals.

Oh - and also pictured are the Scrubbing Bubbles from the moneymaker at ShopRite.

Mission: Target Money Maker

I didn't buy diapers at Target today, but not all of the deals I do will directly involve diapers. However, the money makers will be giving me funds to cover the costs of future diapers. In other words, no diaper money out of pocket!

Here's what I got:

5 Buddy Soaps (.97 each) (I really like these! But my husband peels off the green foamy stuff.)
3 Scrubbing Bubbles (2.49 each)
1 bag of Goldfish (1.66) (not pictured)
1 Individual Quaker Oatmeal (.93)

Coupons:
5 1/1 Johnson and Johnson
1 1/1 Oatmeal
1 Scrubbing Bubbles free coupon (I got this by complimenting the product.)
1 2/2 Scrubbing Bubbles peelie found on product
1 Get a $5 target gift card when you buy 3 scrubbing bubbles products
Total: 10.35 including tax* (paid with gift card previously received)

*I paid this, thought it was high, and then realized that I was charged $5 for the gift card that was supposed to be free. I saw on the We Use Coupons message board that this happened to someone else. So be careful if you are doing this deal! Customer service gave me back $5 in cash. So I basically paid 5.35 and got a $5 gift card! $.35 out of pocket, and now I will submit for SC Johnson $5 rebate when you buy 3 products.

Other things I did today to get extra diaper funds:
  • Clicked on a few mypoints.com emails (will eventually redeem for drug store gift cards)
  • Did a few paid surveys
  • Stopped by Walgreens again - still no Vitamin D that produces the Register Rewards :(
  • Here's something pretty cool... If you get emails from magazines.com, check to see if you got one titled "$5 Gift Card Enclosed for Mother's Day Deals. There is a gift card code that can be used toward a magazine purchase OR - and here's the weird part - A $5 CHECK?!?! I got one of these emails a few months ago from them, and sure enough, a few weeks later a check arrived in the mail, no strings attached!
Plan for tomorrow:
  • ShopRite Scrubbing Bubbles Moneymaker!
  • CVS overage using more Nature's Bounty coupons
  • Possibly Rite Aid
  • Call to Walgreens in the morning to see if they restocked Vitamin D. I'm not driving over there again if the shelves are bare!

Received a Response from Pampers Vent

Remember how I complained to Pampers about the tabs breaking off? (See post here.) Here's the response I received:

Thank you for contacting Pampers,

It's very unusual that the tabs would break off some of your diapers since they all do go through numerous quality checks. I do apologize for the issues that you had and we definitely wouldn't expect that. Please be assured I'm sharing your comments with the rest of our team.

Since your satisfaction means a great deal to us, I am also sending two five dollar off coupons good towards your next two purchases, via the postal service. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Thank you for writing!

Mike,

Pampers Team

I would have loved a coupon for a free pack, but I'll take 2 high value coupons! Did anyone else have success complaining to or complimenting a diaper company??

Mission: Making Money at ShopRite

Check out this great money making deal at ShopRite!

I'm planning on doing this deal tomorrow or Saturday and making $6!! Then I can submit for the SC Johnson rebate and making another $5. With coupons and good deals, that's about 2 free jumbo packs of diapers!

Did you score any free diapers today?

Mission: Walgreens Diapers for Free

I saw some Walgreens diapers in the clearance section when I was there yesterday. They were priced at $4.49 which is about $2 more than the ones my dad picked up for me at a different Walgreens a couple weeks ago. I was initially worried about the quality of Walgreens diapers as opposed to Pampers or Huggies but so far they've worked out fine for us.

In addition to doing the Nature's Bounty deal and picking up free Pull-Ups, I'm going to try to do it a couple times and snag these Walgreens diapers. Here's the deal:

Buy Walgreens diapers $4.49
Buy 2 pkgs of Gummies $.78 total
Use 5 RR from Nature's Bounty
Pay $.27 OPP

Mission: Vent to Pampers

The other day, my husband was diapering one of my kids and the tab on the Pampers Cruisers diaper ripped right off. I'm going to complain to Pampers about it, and hopefully they'll send me a high value coupon. I've had good luck complaining to both Huggies and Pampers in the past when their diapers have failed us!

ACCOMPLISHED!

Mission: Pull-Ups at Walgreens

ACCOMPLISHED... SORT OF. I was only able to do this deal once yesterday. There were no more bottles of the Vitamin D left. Supposedly the store is getting a new shipment today so I'll try to go back.

Use 1 $5 coupon from Natures Bounty Healthy Rewards*

Welcome!

I have 2 kids in diapers and hate paying for them! But I'm not a cloth-diapering kind of mom, so I'm being creative in order to get diapers for free. If you have kids in diapers, grandkids in diapers, friends with kids in diapers, or are pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant, let's build our diaper stockpile together! The stores I typically get diapers at are CVS, Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Shoprite. So let's challenge each other to see how long we can go without paying for diapers. There are tons of money saving blogs, but I want to dedicate this one to diapers. Along the way, we'll get tons of other free and cheap stuff, but our main goal will be to stop wasting our hard earned cash on something that's going to get pooped on in a matter of minutes!

My current stockpile... OK, this is what I am starting off with:
1 pkg Pull-ups
2 pkgs size 5 Huggies
4 pkgs size 4 Walgreens
3 pkgs size 3 Huggies
1 pkg size 3 Walgreens

I'm so excited to be starting this challenge! I hope you'll join me!
